where do i download ashes of erebus?

apparently there's an svn, but i have literally no idea where the download for it is, and every time i try to find it i get more confused. where even is the download in this swirling maelstrom of a forum

at the start of the Final Fixes Reborn thread, which is the original name of AoE.

In more details, you have two possibilities :

1) First, you can download and play the 14.11 version, which is more stable but has less features ( prefered for multiplayer until i fix the beta version)

2) Second, you can try the beta version with the svn system. You need to first install a svn client ( i use Tortoise), then use the client to "checkout" the mod by entering that link in the checkout menu : svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/ashesoferebus/code/

2b) if you really don't want to install svn, but want to try the beta version, you can just click download snapshot on that link to get the download : https://sourceforge.net/p/ashesoferebus/code/HEAD/tree/

Hi so I downloaded the 14.11 version from that link, but it's missing some formatting and icons. Namely the healthy and happy icons are missing which causes some confusion. Is there some fix I'm missing or is it just what I'll have to live with for multiplayer?

That sounds like you don't have the correct version of BtS. If you're not using the Steam version, you need to install the 3.19 patch. If you're using it, you need to switch to the unreleased_original beta version.
