    It'll be on Steam.

You can either go to the Demo section of the service. Or go to the Civ V store page which will also have a download button.

Steam is a digital distribution platform for games (the most popular, by far). Civ V uses Steamworks, which means it will be very tightly integrated IN Steam and will use many Steam-exclusive features.

Steam is the gaseous form of water. It has been used historically to transfer thermal energy while under pressure.

Seriously please. I just want to download the demo. Don't make fun of me. I have played every civ from civ 1 and now I have an iPad and play civ rev, so I am not acquainted with this "steam " web site.

    Okay, I'll bite.

Just go to www.steampowered.com and download the Steam client. There will be a button labeled "Install Steam" at the very top.

Then you will have Steam installed, it acts as a platform from which you can purchase games (Civilization V being one of them). On the 21st, the Civ V demo will be unlocked and you may download it and try the game out.

On http://store.steampowered.com/ you have to click install steam (top right corner) and follow instructions. Once you have software installed, you can use its browser to find demo which will be availible on 21 of Sept.

You can't download the demo until your first civilization in the demo learns the Steam Power tech.

Ignore all these people trying not to help you, once you've followed these instructions,

    "Okay, I'll bite.

Just go to www.steampowered.com and download the Steam client. There will be a button labeled "Install Steam" at the very top.

Then you will have Steam installed, it acts as a platform from which you can purchase games (Civilization V being one of them). On the 21st, the Civ V demo will be unlocked and you may download it and try the game out."

To find Civilization V on the Steam App, all you need do is click store / and use the search box searching for "Civilization V" and then on the Civ V page, come the 21'st on the right hand side about half way down their will be a "Download Demo" button.
