What is the folder where Outlook express stores its messages? I have tried looking for it, but I have always come up with nothing. Does it store the messages as single messages or as a single file for each folder?

OK, so it stores the messages by folder? Also what would be the easiest way to back up all the messages?

He he, I know where the .pst file is stored when using Outlook (not express). At least under 2000. Since I'm too lazy to type the backslash (very hard on French keyboards) I'll keep the unix / to separate the folder name. Non blondes will have already noticed it. Anyway, it's in c:/documents & settings/here is your logon username/local settings/application data/microsoft/outlook/

pfeew :) It's of course hidden folder. It took me a little while to find it. Because I wanted to make a backup of all my email boxes and folders so I too searched for it. he he.
