where is the nuclear animation?

i have altered all my settings etc but no animation. Please help? all i get is a noise and a wrecked target.

I think some of the visual effects are omitted if you choose lower graphics settings - are you on low or medium settings? I play on a MacBook Pro and at the lowest settings which I started with, the leaders were static pictures and some of the tile animations were not playing - I had to bump things up a notch or two to see animations.

I am on high, but makes no difference

No idea. I get mine, on the lowest of 'high' settings.
Although when I launched my thermonuke, it was in fog of war, so didn't get to see much animation.

I seen a video of a city getting nuked after I win a domination game so I guess that counts sorta.
