Where to build the Lighthouse ?

This is a 72 hour poll, public, and winner wins with simple majority. The issue is already decided and None is omitted for that reason.

All coastal cities in our core where included in the poll, one cannot ask for anything more as we need to have productive wonder cities.

There should be an "other" option, as we may still settle more cities and/or go to war and capture some.

There are not anymore coastal cities, and the farther they are from the core, the higher corruption and waste. I picked, these three cities for a reason, since the remainder lies inland.

I voted abstain. Assuming the Netherlands capital is on the coast, I prefer to build the Great Lighthouse there (once we capture it, of course).

I voted Abstain. As stated in another thread (the Culture Consul nominiation thread) I would consider building this in Delhi once we capture it from India.

Delhi was exactly what I was thinking as well. It's not all THAT far out from our core, and should already be at least somewhat ready by the time we get there (i.e. higher pop than our settler pumps and already improved tiles).

Donsignia seems like a good place to build it in. Iron hill, other hills, and a cattle for growth? Sounds like a wonder place.

I did Ash, I picked every single coastal city we had in term one.
In fact, I am against polling for wonders in cities we do not own, you remember the infamous Forbidden Palace debacle. In fact, we should have a law forbidding polling wonders in cities we do not own. but maybe a repoll is needed, but not for breaking the principles in polling 101. Abstain protected their interests, so no need to gloat Ash.

Now that I have seen a map, I withdraw my suggestion about Delhi - its not coastal. When re-polled in term 2 I will probably vote for Donsignia.

There you go Ash, I was not that far off with this poll, several people voted abstain in the hope that they could build the GL in Dehli, an inland city.

Ash, do you apologize that 101 remark ? ("Polling 101" is a piece de resistance along "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", "Will of the people", "Abstain, this is a public poll" and other crazy proverbs that could have been found in George Orwells "Animal Farm")

Yes, Provolution, I apologize for suggesting that you hadn't taken Polling 101. However, this is obviously a strong demand for a "Other" or "None of the above" option. Personally, I just voted for Donsignia, but others can be so picky about how they vote.

Ash, I cannot help people thought Dehli was coastal, I am not an Optician, but a politician.

I suggest that if this is repolled we remind citizens that we've already decided we do want to build the lighthouse and we suggest those who still don't want to build this wonderful structure do not waste their votes abstaining or picking *other* or *none of the above*.
