So I set up this poll to decide where our capital will be founded.

    Either

    1. On the starting location (4fpt)

    or

    2. On the hill SE of the starting location, (good chance to get 5 fpt, but not 100% sure)

To make it a bit easier to imagine, here a shot of the proposed spots:

I voted for staying in place.

Then I looked at the discussion and I want to change my vote - the only thing we can lose is a turn (unless, of course, that ivory is still there, but we can't make that assumption), and the potential for extra food is really pretty important.

I also vote for the hill. If the tile in the fog is FP, then not only will we have the massive food bonus, but also a very easily defended city once we get the population up.

I voted for moving onto the hill as well. I think the benefits of moving outweigh the lose of a turn.

That means, right now we are at 1-6 pro moving onto the hill.

In the evening I will do that move and make a new pic...

Also, keep in mind demographics. If everybody else settles in place, than everybody will know what our start location is like.

Info from F11 will implicitly reveal that we didn't settle in place, and from that, the other teams can infer some info about our start.

Might be true, but if we did the right step, who cares :p
