Hey guys,

in the same vein as the fruit poll but hopefully in a better and more organised manner, i have learned my lessons from the catastrophe that is the fruit poll oh yes :)

So, without further ado, choose your favourite vegetables, the luxury of multiple choice has been enabled, the most succulent and well known vegetables have been added, but of course knowing my luck there will be a thousand and one vegetables i forgot.

let the best vegetable win!

Chinese broccoli

Cauliflower in second place. Honorable mentions to bamboo shoots.

Not counting potatoes, because I don't consider it a vegetable.

Capsicum, Eggplant, Zucchini.

Capsicum and carrot. Probably the latter more than the former. Capsicums are better raw than carrots are, but once you start cooking them, carrots take the lead. Red capsicums are the best.

I was going to say that you missed 'capsicums' in the poll, but then I realised (after I voted) that 'peppers' is probably what you meant for capsicum.

Hey, mushrooms aren't a vegetable! They're a fungus! But I voted for them anyway, because I like them that much. They're excellent to eat like an apple, or in cooking.

Tempted to vote for potatoes because I do eat a good number of them, but I've never really considered them a favorite. Don't often think of them as a vegetable, either, although they are.

Artichoke and asparagus also got votes from me. Artichoke I especially like on pizza. Asparagus I like cooked - probably my favorite cooked vegetable, not counting some potato recipes.

Thanks Arwon for reminding me about eggplant, which gets honorable mention for eggplant lasagna.

I don't consider myself a fan of vegetables, though, and probably don't eat as many as I should. I'd come considerably closer if mushrooms were actually a vegetable.

Just about any leafy vegetable, really. Great in soups.

Sweet potatoes! :drool:

Potatoes, carrots and cucumbers. :3

Potatoes and carrots complete stew, and cucumbers soaked in vinegar are just win.
