Obama Wars - Woodrow wilson  :crazyeye:

Probably means Obama's Wars by Bob Woodward.

Just finished Dean Koontz' The Good Guy, now going to finish The Roman Way.

David Fromkin - Europe's Last Summer

An exercise in frustration and futility. I have difficulty understanding how a man who has a grip on fairly recent scholarship - hell, he knew who Zuber was in 2003, and that was outside his field - can support such a bog-standard bankrupt narrative like the Griff nach der Weltmacht.

Thanks right book wrong writer.

Just put it down as a "Petraues face palm moment". Iam thinking Bush cant be that stupid ? Right ? But then I remember the last eight years and I think yeah Bush administration screws up everything it touches.
(In book joke. about Petraues "fixing" up Afganistain" given how incrediably screwed up it was. When General Petraues took over)

I'm reading it as well. Around 1/2 way through. Pretty dry reading, even if the subject is interesting. It's all: X said this, then Y said this, then Z said this, rinse and repeat.

I've seen what you Teutons do when you get angry!

I got lucky and managed to pull William Morris Hughes: A Political Biography: Volume I - That Fiery Particle from a second hand bookseller than usually only peddles books for tourists. In addition to being an awesome book, it only cost me $4 rather than the $40 that the extortionists online wanted to charge me. Yay!

I was reading Stephen King's Dark Half, but just finished it today.

Now Boone Theodore - Kid Lawyer by John Grisham

I just finished Wuthering Heights. Good grief, what a horrid book. The ending was sort of sweet, but the other 19/20 of the book was absolutely horrible. Every single character is detestable to the last, and the actions of the characters are essentially unbelievable. I'm thoroughly convinced that Emily Bronte was insane, and so is anyone who likes that flaysome novel.

Needing some sanity in my life, I'll endeavor to digest the immense first volume of Capital.

Reading War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.

A classic!

Well, at least that´ll keep you in the same time period... Flaysome! I must say, Wuthering Heights is definitely the better written of the two - so good luck trying to get through Capital. ;)

Im rereading the book I had to duct tape together (Most of you know what that one is). Its good but why is it suddenly so difficult to read.. I really do think Im getting dumber

I'm rereading the Harry Potter series.

For the first few books, it was something like my 40th read. PoA actually has been read so often it's duct taped together (like amiee's book). Not exaggerating about 40+ reads either.

That's slightly disturbing!

Just started on James Bradley's The Imperial Cruise.

Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite book of all time. :(

I mean, I know the entire series by heart, but I still get excited reading through it, cry at the end. I'm a loser :(

I don't care so much about that, but 40 times is a lot of times!
