I wouldn't ban Mein kampf for example, since I don't think it can contribute to anything. It was first and foremost Hitler himself who inspired all this final solution and the rest. I would rather go for books which has actually inspired many wacky things. Like the Bible, Koran and the Communist Manifesto.
In this one, I'd like to know exactly which books the proponents of book banning would like to ban. I asked the same question in my other thread, somewhere in the middle of the thread, and none of the proponents of book banning answered. Why do we have two topics on the same subject? Am I missing something here?

Yes, no pornographic literature in the kids corner of libraries. There are of course, books that have no place in public libraries and schools and such.
Yeah, I tried the same thing earlier with almost the same amount of success. In this one, I'd like to know exactly which books the proponents of book banning would like to ban. Interesting that you would say that about books but not about the Nazi symbols from earlier. (Not trying to be mean or picky just saying)And I too wouldn't ban any books either, just because it's the readers who give the ideas mentioned in a book some power, not the book itself. A book isn't dangerous by itself, it's a madman with an idea, no matter where he got hooked up to it actually.

I agree about how bad the book is, but I don't agree that it should be banned.I would ban Beloved by Toni Morrison. That book is just aweful and the author certainly doesn't deserve a nobel prize for it.
