I switched to Firefox about 3 months ago (from IE) when I started lurking the computer forum. The only problem I have is whenever I'm on an insanely long text page (usually for some online sports simulation leagues I'm in) it has trouble loading it all or something because I get overlapping about halfway down thus I have to use IE for that.

heh. The ones you need to use ie for are the ones which were designed by people who only checked their site in ie, and didn't check it in other browsers. I've discovered how crap ie is when designing a couple of sites recently.
Code that worked just fine in firefox, wouldn't work in ie. Had to change code that worked just fine so it worked in both.

Opera. Firefox is okay but Opera is way faster.
Opera! Opera! Opera! Flexible, customizable, fast, great skins, great mail handling, excellent support forum. The big "O" everyday!

Firefox at home and IE at school. I don't see the big difference, though. But I like the way Firefox handles downloading.
Avant and Maxthon are IE core browsers with Tabbed browsing, ad blocking, popup blocking, xml readers, integrated search, and other options that I don't use. I use Avant, and it's pretty good. The thing I prefer about Avant over Firefox is I don't have to d/l and install any plugins.
Opera. It's simply the best. 
Although I do occasionally use Konqueror, since it is the default File Manager/Browser on my system, and it fires up a little quicker than Opera when I just want to check a Reported Post.

What bank are you with? I use Skandiabanken, and since at least the latest version, I've been able to use it properly through Firefox...The Last Conformist said:

Been using it for a few years now and love it. Especially mouse gestures, can hardly live without them. I have the feeling it's faster than Firefox too, I tried FF but went back to Opera.
The only reason to use FF now and then is that I can identify as googlebot which let me enter sites that I'm otherwise not able to visit (sites from Nature.com).

Interesting input so far. Our results so far are also quite interesting! Perhaps I will even try a further analysis.

So CFC is perhaps the community with the most Firefox users. Except the Firefox-Forums at Mozilla perhaps.

Opera. Have been for over a year. But there are definitely more down times with Opera - first Gmail, and Yahoo Mail's stupid filtering (only sending Opera a bad CSS file), and other non-Opera friendly sites. Browser sniffing is antiquated, webmasters...get on with the times and remove that anti-opera sniffer!

Ya, that is a very small sampling of the tens of thousands of posters, and I bet a lot of them are just here for the Civ 3 stuff, and don't venture farther down, and don't see this poll. IMO its not accurate at all, the majority of people still use Internet Exploder.
