    You're in luck! It's a TV show :p

But yeah, I'm a superhero aficionado but even this is a pass for me

It was ok. But way too swedish (family drama) for me. I always hated Strindberg too :)

    In some sense, yes.
But speaking of The Wailing I can't really compare it to anything else I've seen; it's quite unique aesthetically & so specific to Korean culture and the twists make it stand out. As an example: the film features an exorcism ritual performed by a shaman and I've never seen anything quite like it before. The sound mix and visuals attack your senses for what feels like 15 minutes.

I rewatched Major League (1989), still a classic, good pacing, character development, funny, visually enjoyable.

Watched Ted, was bad and unfunny, wouldn't have watched it thru except my gf liked it.

I agree with you on Ted.
Some of my friends thought I'd like it, due to the dirty humour and all, but I also just found it unfunny. Didn't make it through the movie.

I just read that Vangelis passed away a couple of days ago, age 79. :( He wasn't quite as famous as John Williams, Hans Zimmer or Danny Elfman, but for me and my high school friends, his work on Blade Runner (1982) was as much a part of the nerd canon as the flying cars and Roy's speech at the end of the movie.

The Danish National Symphony Orchestra did an excellent Blade Runner suite some years ago, as part of a Sci-Fi themed concert.

They are brilliant in everything they do; they have done James Bond, Star Wars, fantasy, Morricone, Williams, Herrmann (Hitchcock's composer)...

I guess the older one was more well-rounded.

I didn't know of that scene, but yes it is now my favourite of the Lara Croft films.

The way she keeps her mouth open reminded me of a Giger painting with a human-alien hybrid.

Nothing against Vikander. Loved her in Ex Machina and The Danish Girl. But this was just drab to me. Maybe it's my mood or something :dunno:
