I hated Interstellar with a passion (almost as much as Gravity). So much time wasted on Earth!

Mad Max - Fury Road was Ok, but I prefer the 4m14s musical version...

I turned off Interstellar after the gravity planet because it was just too sad to continue.

Interstellar was a tragic victim of The Hype Train for me. I thought it was okay.

Wake the poor man up as the pain is prolly over. Ballet is one of the most stupid human inventions with baseball and when we actually go interstellar, with help gravity or not, I can only hope that both are left to the aliens.

Pft ... brilliant films? They're unwatchable!
This you post at the same time that you also write that you're fat and ugly. Oh, well…

The Accountant https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2140479/

It's good or even very good until The Accountant 2 or The Accountant's Wife will emerge and much better than I expected. I was well entertained throughout while I started envisioning only Simmons keeping up the quality. He's brilliant but others are good, too though I'm not sure if it's Kendrick or her character being lost most of the time - it still works.
Not that much in the action department but the best part is the lack of CGI and explosions - this is much closer to the old school thrillers than modern so called action movies.

Damage. 7/10. This is perhaps a generous rating, but I have to admit that the sequences were interesting enough to keep me from multitasking. Steve Austin can't really act, though. His performance was propped up by the surrounding cast and further disguised by the fighting.

Another low-key goodie Wind River https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5362988/

Not quite as good as the IMDB rating but well worth watching. Apparently the low-keyness is contagious as I can't think of anything spicy to say about it.

Yeah I really like that movie too. I rewatched it recently. Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner are both great in it, there are lots of cool wilderness shots in it, and that final shootout was pretty awesome too. It's kind of a depressing movie but it's really well done.

The Sweeney (2012), a film where Ray Winstone plays a copper who is an 'ard old boy an' does wha'ever it takes to nick villains and 'ave them bang to rights.

Yep, I liked it too. Been a few years since I've seen it.

Watching Robert Eggers' The Northman this weekend.
Looking forward to this one

Nothing groundbreaking but well worth the time. Very similar to Ex Machina and special mention about J2 - possibly the best android in fiction apart from Marvin.
Spoiler :
"Suicide" because she/it's pissed at relationships was brilliant. Operating/malfunctioning under hostile code or not.

The Northman - big fan of Eggers two previous films.

The Northman
is Eggers at his most visceral yet. He brings little new to the classic revenge tale and the acting is not great, but serviceable. But that's fine, because the film is a visual feast with some imagery that will stay forever in my mind, until I myself get picked up by a Valkyrie and taken to Valhalla. Some sequences are straight up bonkers (dancing Berserkers before battle, naked men fighting to the death at volcanos, a 'family tree' as you have never seen it depicted before, Björk...). The music and sound design seems designed to attack and overwhelm your senses, instead of the classic use of channeling the emotions of the characters. A very unexpected cameo appears towards the end, for those familiar with The VVitch.

I will say that it might not be for everybody, so keep your expectations in check. I'm a bit worried for the films box office performance, based on its 90m reported budget. I hope Eggers aka 'Tarkovsky on Mushrooms' doesn't get burned on this one and he will continue his winning streak.

The 6th Day. I saw this on Netflix and thought it seemed interesting. As I watched it, I recognized more and more scenes, and realized that I must have seen it at some point long ago. Anyway, in theory, I should like this a lot. It has a lot of ideas that are interesting. But the execution just wasn't there for some reason. I ended with a 6.5/10.

The Naked Gun: From the files of Police Squad! (1988). Remains a classic.

I already have, but not within the past 30 days so I'm not sure that it counts.
