Bullet Train. Pretty good, silly action flick. It's a little overboard, but it's fun. 8.5/10.

Kirstie Alley has died..RIP.
I remember her well from Look Who's Talking.
Alley tended to be in things I didn't watch, but I liked her when I did see her. I was surprised by how old she was. I always thought she was maybe a decade older than I am. It turns out she was 30 yrs old in The Wrath of Khan, which blows my mind a little.

Just rewatched Goodbye, Lenin!, a story about the unification of Germany and one son's attempt to protect his mother (who is medically fail and would be devestated to learn that her beloved socialist fatherland was kaput) from learning about it. Both sweet and comic.

They really should have made a second movie. I liked the first one, for what it was.
I've always wondered if that was worth seeing, despite initial impressions. I kind of assumed it was trash. Trash-trash, not fun-trash.

Similarly, a couple guys on a podcast I listen to keep insisting that Ambulance is one of their favorite films of the year, and I still can't tell if they're doing a bit.

I had some time and tried :)
Weird camerawork (not for peoples with motion sickness..know that much).

Cheesy, sometimes stupid lines..some guy gets run over by a truck and when he's shown again among all the blood he says: what did you do with my legs?
He also says that calm so it's not even funny.

And maybe the worst possible crime for any action film: boooooring.
If Bay received a big budget for this i give 2/10. If not i might give 3/10 ;)

Not sure if it is that divergent, since it probably was based on WC3 and WoW, neither of which are games I have played.
Probably some didn't like the existence of a few "good orcs", and this is a pg13 movie (iirc). Still, it is more impressive cgi-wise than others, and the story was decent (I mean, it's a Warcraft adaptation ^^ )

The trailer interested me at the time due to the cast and such and seemed exciting. Still yet to see it even though it is on one of my streaming platforms...maybe Netflix. However, I did not know at all that it was a Bay film. I don't like his stuff at all....so def hard pass for me.

Saw Warcraft in the theatre actually. Know nuthin' 'bout Warcraft, but I think there was jack on at the time - pretty sure it was winter's dead release time, so I gave it a shot. Very CGI heavy and story was average at best, but it was mildly entertaining.

I'm not into Warcraft either, but the movie was alright. You just need to expect some standard fantasy movie, then you'll have fun with it.
If you expect the movie of the year, then you'll be disappointed though.

The Lost City. 6.5/10. It was a passable, silly action-ish flick. It does not meet its potential. There was room for a poignant story about grief, but it failed to actualize this. It was mostly just a movie about Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, and Channing Tatum having on-screen chemistry with each other. Not much else.
