Mine, personally, is Order. I've always been all about the production, so having so many wonderful bonuses on workshops and factories is just pure glory to me. Not to mention it's just so much fun to be able to take over a city and just get it, no Courthouse construction required!

Glorious communist utopia!

Freedom is the only way-yeah!!! :D

Freedom has benefits for tall and even wide empires, which makes it shine a lot more than Order IMO.

So far I've been playing mostly Venice with Freedom, the specialists policies are just too good for what is essentially a OCC. Though I usually don't bother going very deep into tenets, just 3 or 4 is usually enough, there are other policies out there that are amazing. Statue of Liberty is of course also awesome.

Freedom for me. I wanted to go order last game but the buy space ship parts with gold is just to powerful. Add that with all the great person tile improvements and specialist bonuses and you really can get to space quick.

No preference though autocracy seems really, really weak and Freedom is really strong. Probably shouldn't be complaining much before trying them out more but this feature doesn't feel all that finished.

Freedom, but I really do hate that it's the clear-cut winner for both cultural and diplomatic as well as a strong competitor for science. The other two ideologies could stand to be rounded out (or freedom nerfed).

I love order for the production, but in my last game Gandhi forced freedom on me with his superior culture.

It seems the strongest cultural civs prefer freedom, but if you can get a game where they arent present/are weak, order is definitely king.

It's hard to decide between Order and Freedom. From a tall empire's perspective, Order gives better bonuses for tourism and diplomacy, since the AI seems bias towards it, but freedom is better for general empire management.

Freedom to my current Diplomatic game, but as I will go Domination victory it is going to be Autocracy for sure!

Why do you many people cry for nerfs? Must everything be equal, even if they are inherently different? Can nothing just be better than something else? Oh, I forgot, everybody is a winner no matter what.

Instead of choosing the most efficient, why not choose that which fits your empire's narrative the best?

That being said, I do prefer Freedom to Order and Autocracy. Even if Freedom were the worst of the three my statement would still stand.

Because civilization is still a game with victory conditions. If one ideology is best for everything, that's a balance problem.

I generally chose Order because I like making my state communist. No other good reason required, comrade.

Aside from that, I think that Order gives benifits to most kinds of empires, even ones that have been small for years. With the bonuses that it gets, it outclasses Freedom in a lot of areas and counters Autocracy's war policy.

Yes, I agree with many others here in saying that Autocracy is rather weak compared to the other 2 ideologies.

Am I the only one who goes Autocracy?

Not with every civ, but my Autocratic Russia was a horrifying murder machine and Prora is a very nice wonder. My only complaint is that it kind of sucks that one of their level 3s is temporary, but other than that, for a warmongering civ Autocracy does a lot.

All of them are pretty good though. Freedom is definitely where I lean for science victories just because, with gold being pretty readily available through trade, Spaceship Procurement is insanely powerful.

I really like Freedom for the two specialist policies: 1/2 food and 1/2 happiness for specialists. Those policies with the statue of liberty can be powerful.

This is a very good idea for a thread, I like it. Before BNW I felt that Order was the strongest ideology seven times out of ten(and the coolest*), but let me take a dip into BNW to see what I feel is the new best...

*It probably didn't help that the entire Freedom tree was shouting "'MURICA!" in your face over and over again until you just wanted to hit it over the head with a lead pipe.
