I cried at the end of Titanic, when the guy slowly seeks to the bottom of the sea and little pretty Kate Moss was blubbering on a piece of ice. And of course, the last scenes of Braveheart, even if it was totally historically inaccurate.

Is that the one where he raises the dolphins like children and they learn to communicate, but in order to keep the safe he has to set them free? Doesn't he tell the dolphins that he doesn't love them anymore or something horrible like that?

    That's the one!

    - "Fa loves Pa..."
    - "Just go away! Pa hates Fa!"

He played a scientist who teaches dolphins fundamental language skills. The govenrment decides it'd be cool to use them as special op miners. The dolphins weren't smart enough to understand they were in danger, so George C. Scott was forced to lie to them to spare their lives. Man, it just sucked... if I wasn't crying, I was pissed off! F@#king government agents!!

Why? Because I'm a big baby that's why! I still love to watch that flick, even after all these years.

If you're from Quebec, I think it is mandatory that you cried watching "La guerre des tuques" (The war of the tuques). It's a kid movie in wich two groups fight for the possession of a fortress made of snow. At the end, when a dog gets crushed by the weight of the destroyed castle, every kids here had to cry, this is so sad!!! :(

"In the Name of the Father." Really got me fired up about the potential for massive injustice even in a so-called Democracy. Actually it didn't make me cry so much as it really ticked me off.

You should see it. It's the TRUE story of how in the early 1970s, Britain passed laws enabling the police to arrest the entire family of people who were indicted on terrorism charges, and to hold them in prison for YEARS.

The protagonist, who was proven innocent, wrote a book (called "Proved Innocent") which was adapted into the movie. The charges leveled against him and his family were circumstantial at best, yet they spent year in prison. His father died in chains.

I think that the same damn thing could EASILY happen in America, or any other so-called democracy, especially in the current environment of heightened fear...
