Which movie(s) have you seen lately? - Episode IV

Saw Carlito's Way which was pretty crappy, no real action and paled in comparision to the better gangster movies.

Saw Quantam of Solace which was a good action movie but it didn't feel like James Bond, no gadgets, no suave lines, no martini, he never even said "Bond, James Bond". And Q where was Q??? And Bond was out of character, he was emotional, irrational, and impulsive. Where's the cold duty driven man he should be? He's still pining for that women. Also the action scene was jerky and cutty and I didn't like the camera movements.

Also saw Resident Evil: Extinction, pathetic, utterly pathetic, no comparison to the first or second one's.

Doctor Who: The Aztecs. Surreal television as usual.

The Rescuers. Excellent.

I just finished season 7 of the Cosby Show. I watched it with my family. Most of the episodes were pretty good (from a father's perspective).

Talk Radio. It was a disappointment. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was expecting some jerk who encouraged the wrong behavior in people and reaped what he sowed. Well, this wasn't quite like that.

I'd kinda agree with most of that... although he did have six martinis on the plane (which is also out of character, from what we're used to).

Like with Casino Royale, we're seeing less gadgets and no Q (perhaps they realized it would be tough to top the invisible car, so why try?).

Keep in mind that Craig is much younger than Brosnan or Moore, so we're seeing the beginning of Bond's career in these movies. These are his years before he learned how to manage his excesses, I suppose.

That said, I liked it as an action movie, but it wasn't quite what I expect from 007.

Or sufficient distraction. Live and Let Die didn't have Q, but Jane Seymour was in it. Olga Kurylenko has nothing on Jane Seymour.

I actually thought it was ok, but I ended up disappointed because of my expectations. If I didn't have my expectations, I probably would have liked it more.

Just watched Cube again for the first time in a while. Great movie, I love it. A bit of overacting in places by some of the actors, but it's easily forgiven in light of the brilliant plot.
