There are a lot of discussions about various OSs, so I was wondering, which one do you use?

(I'm not an expert in operating systems, so I don't know about all the various versions of linux, I only have one option for that.)

Well, this computer (which is actually my parents' computer), runs Windows 2K.

My computer multi-boots currently 13 OSes: MS-DOS 6.22, Windows 98, Windows XP, Mandrake Linux 10.1, Mepis Linux 3.3, D*n Small Linux 0.9, Slackware Linux 10.1, Xandros Linux, Ubuntu Linux 5.04, Suse Linux 9.2, GoboLinux 012, FreeBSD 5.3, and OpenBSD 3.7. I have two partitions left for two more OSes for the computer, which means that the current limit is 15.

Nonetheless, I chose the None option. I'd really like to see someone run a modern computer without an operating system. That would be fun.

Maybe this should have been a multiple choice poll? ;)

AT work, I have to use MS Windows 2000. And occasionally also Sun Solaris 8.

At home, my wife's laptop is WinXP, but my computer hasn't had Windows on it for over a year: Linux Mandriva 2005 LE, currently.

Do you really need that many OSes? ;)

I run XP on all 4 of my familys computer

To anyone with ME, 98, 95 or ealier: I pity you.

This definatly should of been Multiple-choice. I have XP Pro and Ubuntu 5.04, and Fedora Core 3 currently on my computer.

Windows Xp x64 at home, Windows 2000 and SCO Unix at work.

Our family's main computer runs XP, while we have an older computer for homework and the like running Windows '95. It's still a good OS.

I use Ubuntu Linux 5.04 for everything but gaming, which I cannot do on it for lack of finding a decent free Windows Emulator.

So I use Linux most of the time, and Windows when I have enough time for Games, which is getting increasingly rare. Glad to see others with Ubuntu :)

Notebook: WinXP Pro for gameing, Gentoo Linux 2005.0 for everything else
PC: WinXP Pro, atm, but the HD is broken, when I get a new one I'll propably install just Gentoo
Work: WinXP Pro

so what should I vote for? I want multiple options

I use Win XP and Mandrake 10.1 on this computer and I have another comp that uses Win 98, Win 2K and Slackware 10 . I have to say, adding a DOS partition would be a fun idea (what is the Mb limit for DOS again?). I also have two old Commodore 64 clones that run on BASIC, but I'm not sure I can get them working again...

Well, I do have a disk that has a kind of mock OS on it. I wrote it in assembler and contains a simple integer calculator. I think I can also include a primitive Brainf*ck interpreter (that would be pretty cool) :)

This poll should really be multi-option... :p

Mac OS 10.4.2 (OS X) on my laptop, and Windows XP on my PC. I'll vote the Mac option, as I only use my PC for Civ and Photoshop.
