Pretty straight forward. Which party's candidate are you voting for in the U.S. Senate elections and why? I think it would provide an interesting conversation to see which party leads in this poll.

I will vote democrat because even though i dont agree with them on everything (Im pro-life mostly) i find the republican agenda morally repulsive and can see they will setback the new healthcare and financial reform we got. (Those are good things in my opinion)

Personally i wish the healthcare bill went further but forbidding insurance companies from dropping people with "pre-existing conditions" is a good start for universal healthcare.

I am employed by a State Democratic Party. I'm not totally sure where I'm voting, so there is a 50/50 chance i'll vote for a Republican for the House, but I'll vote for the Democrat for the Senate.

Why would you divide your votes like that? Do you have a set of political issues you stand by? I'm pretty sure the republicans and democrats wont meet both of those.

As is usually true for New York, none of races in which I am eligible to vote are competitive, so I won't bother voting :p

Democrat. Even though I hate the party, I love my Democrat Rep: McNerney, and I'd a bajillion times more have Boxer than Fiorina.

Because you vote for the person, not the party?

I made up my mind yesterday.

I'm voting Giannoulias for U.S. Senate. I was 50/50 between him and Kirk, until I found out that Kirk is for eliminating the estate tax and against civil unions.

My vote has nothing to do with Democrat/Republican affiliation.

Politicians rarely betray thier party when it comes to voting in the house and senate where it matters.

<VRwork> I am suffering anxiety on voting
<VRwork> The closer I am coming to November, the more I am freaking out over the idea of voting for a democrat for US Senate.
<VRwork> Robin Carnahan is not a bad candidate. She's been a wonderful Sec. State for MO
<VRwork> (the dem)
<VRwork> Roy Blunt was an awesome Sec State as well (GOP) back in the day, and then moved to Congress where he RAPIDLY became #3 in the hierarchy. I like his voting, but I cannot help something very shady went on for him to rise so fast.
<VRwork> So I'm seriously considering voting for Robin because (admittedly unproven or even suggested publicly) he may be tainted.
<VRwork> and that has me spazzed the closer we get to election.

In short, I dunno...

Voting against the Republicans by voting for the 'other' guys.

Another Carnahan?!

I am too young to vote. If I weren't, I'd probably vote GOP, even though I support the Libertarians, voting for them wouldn't accomplish anything.

Democrat. I like Sherrod Brown and though he is hardly in the safe zone, he is currently up in the polls. This is one of those elections where the votes really
matter.

The governor race is the one I care more about here in Ohio though.

I know... There are exceptions, but in general it is like this, and we need to make a less partisan system if our nation will ever be valid. Maybe even banning political parties. Definitely either don't put any on the ballot or put minor parties almost nobody knows about on the top and mix GOP and dems amongst the ballot.

Would you consider yourself part of the Democrats for life of America then?

I don't really know how you can vote Democratic if you feel abortion is murder.

I agree with democrats on 90% of things. If a woman is too stupid to wait til she is 5 months pregnent then she shouldnt be allowed an abortion, put the child up for adoption.

Abortion is ok to protect the life of the mother and in the case of rape. Women shouldnt wait til the baby is developed to have an abortion in most cases.

Edit: Actually in most cases im more liberal than any democratic canidate in this country, but i agree with the general direction democrats head with on their issues wheras im opposed to nearly everything republicans try to bring up.
