For me, it's a close race between RoK and AV. Both of them have quite a high ratio of good tracks to total tracks, with few unmemorable/bad songs. I went with AV in the end because it simply has more tracks to loop through, so less repetition.

The single best song in FfH (my cold sea) is Empyrean but overall that religion has pretty mediocre music.

It's RoK for me, but I can't say this judgement entirely fairly since I almost always spend a good period of time under RoK during my games. I quite like FoL's soundtrack too, at least if I'm remembering it correctly... you've now got me tempted to play a game where I purposely hop between religions just so I hear their soundtracks.

Simply playing one long game under one religion (say, huge map, military victory, normal speed) is enough to get a good feel for the soundtracks, at least for me. As such the only one I'm not really qualified to vote on is Order (and having listened to its music in the assets folder I really doubt it would be a contender). I play full games as empyrean, RoK and OO all the time, I used to use Esus a whole lot, and while I usually don't like FoL or AV, they mesh just too well with certain civs and I've played as all of them, so I've had to use them for a while.

I love CoE and Empyrean more than the rest. But I can't really decide which is best. OO is the worst hands down. I don't like AV either. RoK, FoL and Order are just fine but they have a few annoying tracks.

Perhaps CoE and Empyrean are so good because they are all full songs. And Hymn of Absolute Deceit, Blood of Angels, Ella Sheena, Innocent Child, etc etc... are just so damn good.

Voted for CoE because I listen to it more. Perhaps it takes the cup.

There are people not running winamp while playing? :mischief:

CoE by a very slight margin (influenced by my preference of adopted religion as well... :D Even though the shouted track is a bit tiring if heard often.)

But I'm fond with most of those with special note to empyrean, FoL and as noted CoE. (I have some problems listening to the ROK soundtrack for a long time.
War-Pipes do get boring to me if heard constantly it seems even though i usually like them.
But it very much fits the theme and is fine overall.
The OO one i just find mediocre.
The order one is to much of a good-mood tune mostly for my liking but that's not much of a problem given that i avoid that religion at all costs (I just like Druids to much and religious fanaticism is not so much to my liking.).
Veil also has a very decent soundtrack but i hear it very seldom since i handle the Veil much like the Order... :D)

Coe and RoK are my two favorites, followed by Empyreans and Order.

The OO soundtrack is not memorable at all to me, so I guess that makes it the worse.

Order got all of its songs transferred to the Empyrean when the relion was added... and there went the soundtrack for my favorite religion :(
and now Empyrean has some pretty cool songs. Maybe I should play with it more often.
Order got a TON of music from the vanilla Middle Ages soundtrack now, and it just lacks the impact that the Nox Arcana stuff does. Endless chanting... aaargh.

OO isn't bad, just lacks any good songs. Leaf fits pretty well, and has a few good songs. But Esus I think got the best songs on the list, and no vanilla chanting. So I picked that one.

I voted OO just for the very recognizable Sting song that plays when you discover it. Don't remember any of the other music, except it was kind of unsettling.

RoK had some good music. I have yet to play a game with Esus or Empyrean

My favourite is Empyrean, followed by RoK, OO, CoE.

FoL, Order and AV last... even though they have a few good tracks, the aforementioned vanilla tracks are pulling the score down. Not the case with AV I *think*, haven't really had AV as state religion a lot, definitely not lately...

Couldn't agree more, I love this one so much that it made hate me the pause, when you enter a city screen. Why is that anyway? Is probably a pain in the ass, when you play your own mp3s?!

Leaves has some nice songs aswell and I liked RoK before I played to many games with that religion.

Council of Esus definitely my favourite, but I also particularly like Empyrean and RoK.

Ashen Veil. OO earns a close second, but there's something satisfyingly dark about the AV's theme that gets it an edge. Plus, I'm a sucker for creepy piano, something the AV has in spades.

I like RoK music overall, except for the song enigmaoftheabsolute, which drives me out of my mind. The people who composed that should be eaten.

But the winner in my book is the creepy underwater selection of the OO.

Don't really have a favorite, I mix and match from most of them. Octo9 and Song of the Dead Sun are my favorite individual ones, though.

Arcana's pretty good when they're not signing.

Nox Arcana's the same way except they to my knowledge never sing, so I like most of their music.
