It's about two pages back

Let me think about it Abaddon, not really sure I want to do a magic NES but it might be interesting. If someone else wants it though go right ahead as I can always try to create a new faction if I decide I want to play (if you still have room when/if)

In the NukeNES corporate thing. How much did my CEO end up making. Was he ever richer than Bill Gates? I did own the worlds communication. Please answer this Nuke.

about 10x richer than bill gates. You controled more power than him too

Maybe I'll reopen it If people said they would play in it

You have me retaking my company. You should fix up the rules a bit though so it isn't so easy to become a global corporation.

Indeed it does. Our climate, despite its latitude, is much more like that of New England than that of the northern reaches of your continent. Last week we had temperatures of 25-30 degrees most every day, this week it's a bit less hot with about 15-20. Winters tend to go down to -20 at least once, for a week or two, but most often stays around 0. The -50 that Iggy reports is something I've never ever experienced. I think -26 is my record, and that was in the Norwegian mountains.
Our record is -52, and I've experienced (according to my thermometer's records) -47 at my house, no wind chill. I remember it well because it was happening during my Grade 9 First Semester Exams, and I had to do a lot of walking outside.
You yellowknife types, always complaining. Your record low is -53.9. Look at

Snag, Yukon -62.8

the THIRD LOWEST TEMPERATURE in the WORLD
No one lives at Snag. I've been there during the summer. That temperature was a freak, it's never been within five degrees of that since.

Oh, and what's with the 'Yellowknife' thing?
Maybe I'll reopen it If people said they would play in it
I'd play it.

The coldest I've been is in Sweden over Christmas in 1992. I don't quite remember the temperature for some reason...;)

I can go pretty much hotter than most of you, though - back in the late '90s we lived at Fort Irwin, the NTC, north of Barstow, and that gets about 120F in the summertime on a regular basis. The armored vehicles sitting around all of the time don't help...

I think we need to increase recruiting efforts in the forum games area. There are constantly games popping up that look like a rough version of a NES, and I think those players would enjoy NESing. Abaddon has already done something to this effect, so it can be done. Now I'm not suggesting we move NES signup threads to the forum games areas, but to keep on the lookout for posters who seem like they might be interested, and maybe invite them?

That would be a good idea. However, what I notice is that the NES-like games in the Forum Games are more "Lite" and less time-intensive. I think this appeals to some of the players there. However, "advertising" would be a good idea, as long as it isn't obtrusive.

The forum has long been in need of more "Lite" NESes anyways, so that may not necesarily be a bad thing.

"The International Game" is an example. They're not all over the place, but one or two do seem to spring up on a regular basis.

I was in that one. that, and iggy is what got me into nesing :)

yea, you told me that you would continue the story if I played in your NES, but I didn't really get it untill I played in the International game

it was in your siggy, and I must say, it looked quite fun if I was able to understand it

While I was away, I worked on rules for a war game NES that would refight the European wars from 1795 through 1815 or so. I mainly worked out a combat and leadership system for annual turns. It would be "lite" NES.
