While We Wait: Part 4

The experienced ones should already supposedly follow something along those lines ;)

Actually, the thread provides bountiful examples of what not to do, in addition to the numerous positive ones.

I was talking about the positive ones NK, as you knew perfectly well :mischief:

I have not looked at that thread in a long time, are the posted orders there noted as being good or bad? Or will a new player assume they are all godd and mistakenly choose bad orders to model his after.

And yes, I am working on my update and have been all afternoon.

I've never liked the (nonexistent) organization of that thread. It would be prudent for someone to collate the results and maintain an up-to-date listing. If that were to be done it would be easier to begin to undertake a ranking of the orders, thereby promoting good examples and diminishing poor ones.

Didn't you try that once?

I made a one-shot list. I didn't undertake a comprehensive program. Shortly: no.

Though any kind of ranking would itself be exceptionally subjective, to the point where orders that are highly recommended to send to one mod would be trash to another.

That's implicit in the material, given there's no way of measuring it on anything other than opinion. Even evaluated in the context of its game, the best that can be said is whether it worked and to what degree (the latter is again subjective), and that may often be difficult to discern. The choice is binary: they can be evaluated (subjectively) or they can't.

Regardless, the thread's organization is terrible.

Germany attacks Poland, and conquers it within 21 days. Europe is now at war:

That takes us up to september 21st, 1939.

Reccomendation: The current plan is to wait for Germany's expected attack into Holland, Belgium and northern France, hoping they by-pass us completely. We will then declare war on Germany, re-take Belgium with our own army, trap and destroy their armoured spearheads. Then the conquest of Germany itself can begin. Then the world... Any other suggestions are very welcome!

Current strength is around 100 divisions, including about 10 armoured, 10 motorised-infantry, and 4 HQ's. Field marshals Optimus Prime and Warman17 are in command. Our medium tanks should be at least equal to anything the enemy have. We also have air support from about 8 tactical-bomber wings and 8 dive-bomber wings, though most are still old designs and are not up to date.

Problems: Nesland needs more air force commanders / tacticians, we also have a requirement for naval commanders eventually!

I have no idea what's happening, which makes me the best person for the job.

I'll "sign in".

On a more enlightening note, what is this NESland stuff?

Come now, Luckymoose, it's not as though it's harmful to the community or anything.

For the record, Daft, I think it's kinda cool. :)

I want to be Administrative Genius! (Best Cabinet member in the game in my opinion)

I just watched "Brave Heart" and wow... The Scots would have Veteran bonus, culture bonus. skill and speech bonus..........

Any ways, I am now starting to base some of my war stories off of that... Namely the Zulu Empire in JNes.

Offhand question: How do you post a poll? I want to see the general position on me making a simple Fresh Start Nes?

IMHO +10% IC loses its charm if you're not playing America in the mid-late game.
Certainly, any preferences for the portrait?
A crop from this pic from Chicken Invaders; but, in all honesty, I really like the existing one; methinks the addition of a chicken-medal will do! I'd also like to be an alternative Air Force Cabinet Member with a focus on TACs/CAGs, and a doctrine researcher (skill 6) that goes along the line of TAC/CAG doctrine. :)

Well I could always take him down in school, but for fear of breaking state and city laws with what I would do, sadly I won't be able to. ;)

A scale from 1 being the lowest (Extremely annoying newb) to 10 being the highest, (Thunderfall~), I'd rank sp1023 2~, Charles Li 3~, myself 5~, and Lord Iggy/das for comparison as 9-10~.

Just my opinion.

Yes, a 6ft 2in, 200lber behemoth shouldn't have any trouble smashing a 5ft 2, 110 lber into dust. Haha. I felt his slap once. Trust me, even Godzilla's tail won't knock the crap out of you like he does.

I am continuously confused as to why he remains friends with you, given that all you ever do, at least on this forum, is do your best to bring him down.

In any case, for all new players, the best place to go for understanding orders is the Show me your orders! thread.

Yes, well, you haven't even seen 1%of his evil. At times, he can be such a SOAB, it's not even funny!
