While We Wait: Part 4

Americans are lazy, thus their speech is shorter and more strange sounding.

The British are sophisticated, or so they will have us believe, therefore their speech is more granduer and sophisticated.

Personally, I have been to England, Canada and America, the latter being where I live and I love the Queens English, the one they speak in England, it just sounds so rich. Canada is the most confusing of them all as they attempt to mix French with English, at least the people I met did that.
America, I am biased so I cannot say anything about them.

Also, I found that English girls love American boys, and American boys love English girls for some reason. Fortunately I am not that biased, just give me a plain American girl from the West over any Princess from Europe any day.

What part of Canada? If it was Ottawa, Quebec, or the Maritimes, that will happen often. If not, you were part of a plot to misinform tourists. Those happen too, eh?. At least near my igloo it does.

And Canadian girls LOVE the british accent. or should I say bri'ish, which is enough for them. likewise, bri'ish girls like guys with good teeth.

I went to a Yankee game in Toronto, which I assume is in Ottowa, so Ottowa, stayed there for 1 week in which the Yanks played them 3 days during that week.

Toronto and Ottawa are both cities in Ontario.

Toronto is NOT bilingual, just mutlicultural. So either you happened upon a group of minor niners practicing their french out of school, some immersion kids, some ex-expos fans from M-town, or some Malinese/Senegalese/other French country (mentioned mali and senegal because I see them a lot all over) or you got tricked. it happens.

I mix my french with HEBREW, not english. only thing is that part is unintentional.

American English is the closest variant to have a neutral inflection.

And actually, the early modern 'English language' spoken in Shakespearean times probably sounded more 'American' than the current Queen's English, which was largely influenced by aristocratic manners of speech.

I'm mid-west... Althoug I was born in Boston and grew to 8 in New York... well... Elementary years say I have a regular Ohioan Mid-west 'neutral'

I am North East, lived in NY all my life.

Though I moved to Wilmington for like 3 months.

Sooo... the unifying allspirit of Anglo-Saxon's lovechild with the raped offspring of Nordo-Celt and that degenerate bastard son of Latin that is French? What on earth do you mean "those who created it"?? Languages happen. They will change, for better or for worse. No one "owns" a language,

Hear hear!

Also, anyone seen 'diary of the dead' (film)? I ended up going to see that tonight, as 10,000 BC which the others wanted to see isn't out here yet. Anyway, I liked the film that we did see. I found it more entertaining than 'dawn of the dead' or 'city of the dead'.

Wow, you missed a (lot) spot... I mean, when did you start? How did they got stuck in their redeculus places?

Hmm, army of j_eps defeating the Axis in poland. ironic isnt it? if we make it to lodz, i can liberate my own family.

@Charles Li, an account of the build up to war and Nesland's invasion of Germany can be found in this post.

I would say it got 'burried' but that would imply it was interesting in the first place :)

@sp1023, I will name an admiral in your honor, as soon as we get some ships! Which may be a few years of game time :(

@j_eps, Wow, your family is from that part of Poland? Thats a coincidence

In this game, I believe you passed through that province then headed south to the slovakian front, with two tank divisions and one motor inf.

I Charles Li, Shall propose a night fighting supply destroyer! Planes will ance carpet bombs, then shoot at the highways.

Hebrew, not Yiddish? I know at home I've always spoken Yinglish more than Yiddish. Personally, I find it combines the best of Yiddish emotional and sarcastic expression with the best of English precision and technical usage. But I am biased.

I hardly consider what you type to be "English" Charles :p.

Case in point.

And I'll remember the Shakespeare thing next time I watch Mel Gibson as Hamlet. Ugh, the scene with the Queen. Bad memories.

@Daft Onward Field Marshal Stalinator! Though I don't appreciate his skill starting at that of noobs... he must liberate Austria, and move on to fight the wretched French. It will be Joe who takes Paris, I declare it! Though this better be paused for a certain NES' update this Wednesday...
