Hmph! My computer has started to buzz loudly and is starting to show signs of senility, it runs like a 233mhz instead of its rightfull 333mhz. Ah, its probably a combination of a dying fan and a software error. I suppose Il have my dad take a look at it. (stares into space dreamily as he imagines a totally messed up computer and a trip to future shop);)

TeeHee, when I tried to defrag my harddrive recently it said that there was an error, when I had it check for errors it said that there were none, *sigh* hypocritical windows software...

I HATE WINDOWS BUT I LOVE THE GAMES! :p

Sounds like a hard drive problem to me. Whenever you get "bad sector" errors, that's not a good thing. If Defrag gave you an error that it was unable to read or write from a certain place on the disk, it's most likely a bad sector. When you checked the drive for errors did you do the "thorough" method, where it checks for bad sectors and it takes a very long time to complete? If you didn't, that's why it would say there's no errors. If you did do that thorough test and it told you there were no errors, then yeah, it's really screwed up. If you have bad sectors and you hear buzzing sounds, you might want to back up your data just in case the HD dies.

Hmmm, this does not bode too well for the future of my computer. I did do the thorough test and as I said, no error... :crazyeye: I suppose that it couldent hurt to do a backup after all.

Thanks!
