who has baulders gate the orignal or soa (shadows of amm)
if so tell me.

I thought it would be nasty just to ignore this thread ;)
I used to have both of em, now i've only got Baldurs gate 2... (haven't played it in ages though)

yeah I got it....somewhere

I have pt 2, but I never played them. A friend gave them to me and tried to get me to play them, but at the time I was hooked on Diablo2-LoD and now they just sit on my shelf after getting Civ3.

I have them, and the expansions, and I just bought all the iCEWIND dALES.

ive only got 1 icewind dale game

huh.. had to reply to this thread. Just because I got done doing the big bg2 adventure .. again.. for my 3rd time. That game is SO huge.

I have bg, bg2, icewind dale, icewind dale 2, planescape tourment. All are pretty decent games.

Planescape has one of the better story lines I think. It's so weird. I remember having strange dreams while playing it my first time.

Icewind dale, oh ya. Hack and slash fun. Straight forward, not really hard to figure it out. Linear. Still fun.

Bg2 is almost to complicated. It has an addictive quality to it though. Personally I had to add some mods to it just so I could stand playing it. I do dig that game though.

All those are fun games. I "almost" hate to see the infinite engine die really. Seems like nobody really cares for it anymore. Guess it is a little fossile like.

I've had and played through all of them, some of them multiple times because they were so fun. Some because the savegame corrupted or I accidentally broke the game because I got too kill-happy. :(

Most of those Infinity engine games should be labelled as illegal substances akin to crack cocaine. When I turn down free beer and girls to sit in a dark corner and micromanage a party of pixellated elfs then you know it's addictive. I don't think I've been so engrossed in a game since I finished BG2. Gothic 2 being the sole exception because that game is even more addictive. I'd recommend anyone who liked the BG era games to play Gothic 2. Same super-addictive formula where you just HAVE to see what's around the next corner. And that good feeling when you trash everyone into dust.
