the US in term of fire and man power, the russian in numbers and terrain, you can only say who is the best in what circumstance, it depends

Russia has bigger numbers, but America has better technology (air support aside even). Their Armor and Helo's (technically ground) have a huge range that would be a factor in combat, as Iraqi's learned in the first Gulf War.

The Russian Army is ill-maintained, ill-trained, and ill-equipped. Russian tanks are just moving targets these days. Twenty years ago, the story would be different. Today, the Russian military would be slaughtered and their troops will flee. They have some new stuff that is great, but not in enough numbers to make a difference. They could still win a land war within their own borders, though.

i agree for this period but it can change back in twenty years, overthinking that future perspective, i guess India will have the most powerfull army...

I do not disagree, but India is not quite there yet. As you've pointed out, they're quite dependent on foreign technology.

India is at best a 3rd rate power, it has a long long way to go. I don't think Asia has room for two superpowers. One of China or India will dominate the other. I am betting my money on China.
