    Poundmaker?

There are some great threads here in the forum about him and the Cree...
Look for the Cree first look thread. There is great info there.

Why don't you just look it up on Wikipedia or the Civilopedia? What's the point of this - to mock his name?

Pffft! He's North American and non-metric, so he deserves being mocked.

The metric system is the devil! My car gets 40 gills to the hogshead and that's the way I like it!

    In Quebec, maybe.

Relatives are advised of weights and lengths of newborn babies in imperial units.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metrication_in_Canada

Therefore you are considered by everyone important in your lfe to be non-metric
from the day you are born. QED.

Q: What are Canadian winters like?
    A: Darker than a yard up a bear's bum.

    Checkmate!

Canadians are the ultimate adapters... We personify the quote 'The sum is greater than the parts'... We take what we like and what makes sense from every culture that makes the little parts of what we are, and that does include the Metric system... It's really quite funny to hear someone always talk about the outdoor temperature in Celsius all the time, but when it come to water temperature, we still think of it in Farenheit !

Anyways, NOT checkmate, there was an exit move... ;-)

What makes Canada great is their British heritage. That’s the difference between America and Canada: Britain.

The Americans made a huge mistake in overthrowing their so called tyrant masters.

I think Groundpounders was the term used to describe regular troops in Babylon 5. There was an episode called Gropos, IIRC.
Dang, that was a long time ago.

Where did you get Groundpunder in the first place? And how did you get from "Groundpounder" to "Poundmaker"?

Hey to be fair EVERY civ in civ 6 is non-metric. Or at least they were in the time represented by their leader!

Groundpounder is funny as all heck however :)

Sounds like a world of Warcraft miniboss. I like it. If I could rename my leader it would be that. We still can't rename ourselves, amazing they don't care about that feature.
