Which is why I always quantify that I'm a Rockefeller Republican, instead of just a Republican. And even by that, I'm not everything your typical RR is.

I suppose now I should start calling myself a Moderate Republican, but Rockefeller Republican sounds better.

So close and yet so far. "Christian", and for that matter "religious", are family resemblance concepts. As are the vast majority of concepts - that's just how the human brain is wired up. Thinking in terms of necessary and sufficient conditions is a difficult trick and shouldn't be demanded where not necessary.
