I am seeing alot of these passive sit back, tech up, and win the long term game, polls.
Where are the conquerers?
So, I ask, Who is the best Charismatic Leader?

I voted Cyrus because that Synergy is tough to beat, however I prefer Washington or Lincoln myself.

Napolean is probably one of the most underrated war-mongers in the game.

Hannibal is probably next and is probably the best of the peaceful Charismatic leaders.

Yep Cyrus for me.

America and France (and Germany :() are like nations that don't have a UU or UB. Carthage, despite a sweet UB, is almost like playing with a penalty unit.

Most charismatic leaders are bad. Cyrus is acceptable so it makes him the best of the lot.

Napoleon, obviously. UUs aren't important enough to beat the amazing strength of his trait combo.

I love them all, though. Charismatic is so much fun.

Churchill owns.

The only problem is his economy isn't so hot. You'll have to grunge out a living the same way the Jap does. TMIT found out how fun that can be last weekend IIRC :p

Washington. I really love an amphibious warfare and Navy SEALs that need 25% less EXP for promotions are just fantastic. So in my opinion, Washington is arguably the best choice for late game warfare (at least on non-Pangea maps)

I think the presence of shaka and only shaka near me had a lot more to do with it than traits :p.

Other than Brennus, I've had good strong games with all of them. I don't think any of them are that much stronger that there's a clearcut "best" choice.

Best Charismatic leader is Napoleon leading someone other than the French :(. Thankfully the French uniques will not be terrible in CiV!

I am surprised about the victory Cyrus has. I know he is good.
Though his UU is awesome at the start of the game, with horses in your BFC.
I picked Hannibal. As he is my avatar also, that was probably no surprise.
I did expect more votes for Napoleon. I still haven't played him yet, but, he must be great on larger maps, regardless of his UU. I have beaten him with HRE.
I was expecting a list of [CHA] leaders more like this:
Hannibal[FIN], Napoleon[ORG], De Gaulle[IND], Lincoln[PHI], Washington[EXP], Churchill[PRO], Cyrus[IMP], Brennus[SPI], Boudica[AGG].

It looks like the UU's (good or bad) influenced the pick here more than I expected.
Carthrage and France have great leaders, that may be why they weakened the UUs and UBs to not make them too powerful.
[CHA] is fun the whole game, because, you gain all of those promotions quick enough they create UUs themself that will build up to amazing units by the end of the game.
That synergy may be why Cyrus is doing so well. So many GGs mean even more xp for the [CHA] leader.

The numidian cavalry are actually very good, if you use them right. build barracks and stables, and give them flanking2 and comabt 1 and they can win or survive against a spearmen. only real threats are HAs and elephants. that's why you attack before hbr. and when you get knights, they' re almost like having a second uu

I would have picked one of the Americans but their UU and UB are so bad that I had to avoid them. I settled on Cyrus - immortals are useful on all difficulty levels and are early.

Nothing to add.^^^ My best games are with Washington, but objectively I think Cyrus is best with Hannibal second.

Cotts were due to bad game design by Firaxis. Merchants aren't unlocked until far too late... So early armies are locked into a single type of play... sad to say.

Voted for Cyrus due to the immortals, although I've always liked playing the Americans. SEALs are fun if not objectively good, and the mall, while also not good, is nice for late game rushbuy warring or for corp spam.
