Who uses the Ignore List and Buddy List?

I once put someone on my ignore list, but it didn't last. I kept clicking on his posts to read them, so in the end I just removed him from my ignore list. Otherwise, I've never used either.

I tried the ignore list (actually, my GF tried it :hmm: ). I think that Simon was the luck recipient ;) . All that happens is that the person's post is replaced with a message telling you that "This person is on your ignore list. Click to read the post". Its not really "ignoring" them at all. And I took Simon off it.:)

"Ignoring" someone just makes them more special.

After Perfection's effort to ignore himself, I tried making myself my own buddy. I'm not allowed to be my own buddy.

I've got some people of the demo game on my buddy list, just to see whethere or not they are online, it's too much to look at the people present at the first page... ;)

Yes, above the name - yellow for online, red for offline.

Yeah I can see who's online by that symbol right above the name but then you need to see someones post before you know that person is online or not.

I don't use the ignore button because if someone's making a fool out of me I like to be able to read it and be prepared. :)

As mentioned earlier in the thread, you can't ignore yourself anyway... :p

Sorry, couldn't resist :D

Anyway, I generally use the buddy list for the same purpose as civ1-addict, to see at a glance which of the other demogamers are online so that I know whether it's worth hanging around for whatever it is they might be about to post. Also makes PMing groups of people a LOT easier and faster - again useful within the demogame.

I don't use the ignore list for reasons already mentioned.

IceBlaZe is the only person on my buddy list, I put him on it when we wanted to find out what it's use is some time ago.
We didn't find that out...

I might have to try putting everyone I can think of on the ignore list, so I only have to read my own work. :yeah:

If yo have any foes on the forums,
Then put them on your buddy list,
That way you see if they are online,
And go and hunt em' down for a debate!

I didn't mean that to sound like a poem!

Buddy list - don't need it.

Ignore list...bah, I have a short attention span when it comes to people as it is. So I can just hit the off switch, especially when all that pinko leftist filth pollutes the forum. ;)

Besides I'm a freind to all...but watch your back!:D

Hmm maybe I should change my title to that.

"No-one is on my ignore list. I don't see the point."

Who said that??

Woo-hoo!! That's twice I've got you with that one :p

I dont bother with the lists - I've a hard enough time switching the computer on and typing properly never mind any of yer fancy schmancy stuff

Not only has his crudeness returned, but also his biting wit and cunning sense of humour. :p

Welcome back old boy! :D

I use the Buddy list extensively. It makes it easier to PM multiple recipients, like in the demogame, and in the SGs I play, and to tell when others are online.

I tried the Ignore list, once, but it wasn't worth it. Now if I want to ignore someone, I just ignore them. ;)
