The US government actively supports and provides sanctuary to terrorist cells in the states? That's a new one for me.

Oh, I forgot, United States is by definition immune to accusations of terrorism.:)

I guess you can say that United States by definition can be indeed a sponsor of terrorism by the department of the CIA.:hmm:

You don't consider Islamic terrorism to be a threat to western democracies?

Whoever the American government names; that's how it's always done. Before Islam, it was communism. The list goes back and back. The American empire needs these "enemies" to help fuel the military-industrial complex.

    Yes, that's the real threat.

I think that's not even the most important reason. External enemies are very useful to divert attention from problems at home and to justify, whenever desired, any changes that would otherwise be unacceptable to people.

Bah, how many western democracies were overthrown by islamic terrorism? A few disperse groups of mad people are no serious threat. I'm more scared of some being overthrown with the excuse of "a more powerful government is necessary to fight terrorism".

That's what I've been saying all along too!!

Actually, this is a bigger threat than terrorism even right now.
