I want to say Arsenal, being a ravid supporter, but knowing their not-so-impressive-to-say-the-least-European-record, it's pretty hard.
So I'd say if not Arsenal - Real Madrid.
Actually I do fancy our chances this year. Scholes has had his op and is coming back - a key player. Ole will be fit again in two or three weeks. Another key player. Wes will be fit again and will provide much needed cover for the defence. We have good cover in midfiled.
BUT if Rio is suspended as he might be, thats it.
if Ruud or Ryan get injured, thats it.
We are expected to make a big signing of a nother striker when the window opens in Jan.
I'd fancy us against Real Madrid in a rematch.
Chelsea are going to be very tough to beat though and they are my second choice.
Obviously we have quite a few Man United supporters but whats wrong with us thinking that Man United will win? Also you do tend to be just a little anti United...
All together now:
They all hate us, we dont care
The draw:-
VfB Stuttgart v CHELSEA
Porto v MANCHESTER UNITED
Real Sociedad v Lyon
Celta Vigo v ARSENAL
Bayern Munich v Real Madrid
Sparta Prague v AC Milan
Deportivo La Coruna v Juventus
Lokomotiv Moscow v Monaco
Cant complain about the draw from a United point of view. Arsenal have the easier draw.
Bayern v Real Madrid will be good, also La Coruna v Juventus (although La Coruna haven't really shown form, only just knocked out Rosenborg and were hammered by Monaco...) could be interesting at least.
I actually think Stuttgart have a fair chance of knocking out Chelski, as the latter have been a bit shaky so far, even though they've won most of their games. Milan must go through, but Sparta have already beaten Lazio so...let's see...
