WE, of the Traveling Hoard, make damn sure Our Trade Routes (TRs) are up-to-date by checking the Trade Route Overlay, wherein are listed all of Our TRs, to whom and for how much WE are getting, *AND* the *number of turns* in which they expire (age out) .
Our Battle Sages state flatly that TRs are as deployable and useful as our weapons are against Our foes .
When a target civ is chosen, WE time the withdrawal of TRs that will be affected by warfare, sending them away from the area of operations; depriving the enemy funds while Our cash-flow is unimpared .
MAKE NO MISTAKE, TRs ARE WEAPONS OF MASS ECONOMICS !!!
