Why aren't the Zulu playable?

I could see the others not being playable (Like the HRE for obvious reasons or Korea because it would be stuck on that small peninsula.) But why the Zulu? They have all of South Africa for themselves.

Well,

1. It is rather late the Zulus began to have an organized goverment structure. So to be historically accurate they would spawn in 19th centiry with ancient techs. A waste of civ slot.

2. The AI's are not so good at naval invasions. So South Africa will be never colonized by European powers.

Lone Wolf, I always see dutch/france down there these days...England doesn't get up to much anymore!

I know this probably isn't coadable but it is really frustrating. I'm trying to get a cultural victory as Egypt, and I have built the GW. This makes those cael archers destroy carthage not me. However, natives keep running in and attacking. It is very frustrating, especially during plaques. Could the GW also keep out natives?

It would be too easy then ;) GW makes defence easier but you musn't forget about building some units ;)

I rather enjoy it when as Eygpt I manage to get a mediator to make peace between me and the natives...

I think England should be more interested in it. However, the Dutch were there the first, yeah.

In BtS the AI's naval invasion ability is vastly improved. Unfortunately, a vast improvement on ineptitude is still not much.
