[R&F] Why do my support units keep waking up?!

[Question]

Whenever i assign support units to a formation (great generals, medics, etc) i put them into sleep mode so that the game doesnt keep cycling to those support units every turn.

But it seems that every turn they keep waking up for some reason, especially for melee units. I put them to sleep, they wake up again, and delay the turn cycle.

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Yes, this.
Firaxis, the idea is you would want to put the support unit to sleep so you don't have to deal with it every turn while keeping the main unit's status independent so it can be active, alert, asleep, etc. without altering the status of the support unit.

or why on earth can't I link my units to inquisitors? Spain already is bugged having no religion conversion from conquistadors being near cities and now I cant even move them efficiently with inquisitors because I can't even link them.


Also great admirals think they can go on land and suggested paths for naval units linked with them are all messed up

Is there any way around this? Its taking up so much time.
