why does everybody play the game and have basically no posts and people post dont pla
any ideas why, because to me it seems that the "no-posters" shall we call them play all the time and theres peoplein CFF that posted like 10 thousand times and never play the game so lets call them "non-gamers". Again, any ideas why this appears to be true
1. If people have no posts, how come you know theyre playing? And if they have basically no posts, how come you know they spend much of their time playing?
2. If you had taken some time reading the different threads, you would have noticed that most posters actually do play
a lot. How else could they have such in depth knowledge of the game, or be able to post so many saves and screenshots, the latter from various stages in their games (that theyre by your statement not playing)? Actually, quite a lot of highly skilled players put in a lot of time and effort to share their knowledge through posting games and guides, as well as answering questions from other people. I, for one, am extremely grateful to those posters of many posts, theyve helped me many times, and theyve made it possible for me to improve my games.
3. Some people dont know about this site, theyre thus not posting, nor reading, you have no ways of knowing what theyre up to, not even if they have the game.
4. Some people know the site, but do not register, thus visiting as guests who are not allowed to post. Some people know this site and are registered, but do not intend to post at that particular moment, thus they visit as guests. You have no knowledge about these persons identities, nor what they are doing, apart from the fact that somebody (registered or unregistered) sometimes visits this site, and theyre at that moment not posting.
5. Many people are registered and do post, some a little, some a lot. Most of those people do also play, Im sure, but neither you nor I have any ways of knowing how much or how little unless we do some proper statistical research.
6. Conditions for posters/players might change: During the day/week/months. Sometimes people have no time for playing, but take time to stay in touch with this site, reading and occasionally (or often) posting. Sometimes the same people get absorbed in a game and dont read nor post. And sometimes the same people get absorbed in a game and have in-game problems they want solved, or want to share their game with others, thus post a lot while playing at the same time.
And neither you nor I have any knowledge whatsoever about their ratio of posting versus playing.
7. Then theres real life as in family, friends, work, studies, illness, holidays etc., those things can keep players from posting and posters from playing, or even stop all posting and playing.
And again: You and I have no knowledge of the extent of this.
Personally I was an unregistered guest for more than two years, thus reading but not posting. On and off through those two years I played, and I didnt play. As well as real life, there are also other games, and theres computer crashes with no money to repair.
I registered this August, read some more, and then started posting, while playing on and off. Sometimes I still visit this site without logging in, thus not posting, not playing, but doing invisible reading. Some times I log in, but do not post, some times I do post. Some times I play BtS, sometimes not. And sometimes you can see that Im logged in because I have not gone into invisible mode. And sometimes Im logged in while in a game. And at this very moment Im not visiting, nor logged in, and Im not playing, but posting! (Theres this thing called Word that has excellent copy/paste qualities.

)
And you would have had no way of knowing what Im doing, if I hadnt told you now! But in the very moment I log in, copy/paste this and log out again; - You will have no means of knowing what Im doing next!
So, no, I cant agree with you when you say that your statement appears to be true.
To me, derived from reading various threads, your statement seems to be false. But; - Without doing a proper statistical survey, I have no way of knowing that my impression that many heavy posters also play a lot is true. Its just an impression which I believe, and hope, to be true.
