I also find it ironic that a proponent of one of the least well formulated, most cult like and frankly moronic schools of philosophy tries being so intellectually smug.
 
respect is earned by character, not traits.

i respect christians who follow their religion right.
i respect muslims who follow their religion right.
i respect...

but character is the overriding factor, i refuse to respect someone because they believe a certain thing. hell, if they believe the same thing i do i still don't respect them until i know how they act.

but you, lordrahl, have not shown good character by posting this thread, so i do not respect you.
 
I could see starting yet another thread asking why faith is valid or why people have their beliefs, but this isn't the way to go about it if you want real answers.

The video doesn't bring anything to the table, either.
 
Those that have meaningful faith do not actively nor passively seek the respect of those that would not respect them as such. However the disrespect from the other side seems much more active, curiously.
