ok it isnt the clone sex that i think is wrong, in reality everyone having there own personal britney spears at home is ok. I don't like the idea of copying a human, everyone gets one shot, its all we need. as far as making people to harvest for organs that is sick.

Legally, who knows? The laws aren't developed there yet.

Morally, who knows? The ethics regarding the status of clones aren't developed yet.

Socially, who knows? The social acceptance of clones' status haven't developed yet.

Since the first and the third answers bear little impact on whether cloning is 'wrong', we'll focus on the second one.

Since such a relationship would be mutually consensual and between competent adults, I don't see anything wrong with it.

What I'm saying is:

1. The situation (sex with the clone of the daughter) must be wrong SOMEHOW.

2. It can't be wrong due to it being incest since it is NOT incest.

3. Ergo, it must be wrong SOME OTHER WAY i.e. for SOME OTHER REASON.

4. The only OTHER possible reason, the only OTHER possible way it could be wrong is that having sex with a clone is wrong.

5. If having sex with a clone is wrong, then it's unfair to a clone to make him since the clone wouldn't be able to morally have sex with anyone.

6. Ergo, cloning is wrong.

Cierdan, this makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!!!. All you're saying is that: it's wrong to start off with, I don't know why it is wrong but it just is.

Frankly, I find it a little disturbing that Cierdan would be sitting around thinking of reasons why cloning is bad, and the first and best reason he comes up with involves having sex with his sister.

I want to make cloning illegal because cloning is wrong, not to solve any problem. But this problem shows that having sex with a cloned person is wrong and that shows that cloning is wrong (because it's not fair to make a clone and have it be immoral for anyone to have sex with the clone)

I don't care how you define incest - but all your example shows, at best, is that having sex with a clone *of a family member* is wrong.

You cannot extrapolate to saying that therefore having sex with any clone is wrong - that is a s ludricrous as saying "sex with a family member is wrong, therefore sex is wrong".

If you claim that a clone is unrelated to the original, then all that shows is that having sex with the clone isn't wrong. You can't have it both ways and claim that a clone is unrelated, but somehow it's still wrong for some reason you are unable to provide to us.

This has already been posted: because two people who are genetically related having children causes problems. There is no other reason why such an act would be wrong.

Hey, just thought of another argument: Lot (that virtuous man who escaped from the cities God smited) had sex with his daughters in the Bible. Therefore it must be OK, therefore your argument falls down at a different step!
