Why isn't there more hemp production?

You're kidding? I think they're awesome! But I suppose you young people like your swooshes and swishes and gaudy colors, suit yourself. ;)
Pah, those are terrible as well. Here's what a shoe should look like:

Or for those everyday walking something like this:

Those are my shoes! They're a bit flashier than I like but they look better than yours.

Plus they have no laces! Over the course of a year I'll save countless hours that you'll be wasting lacing and unlacing your shoes! Muhahahahaha!!!!! :D
Pah! Everyone likes getting a good look at my wonderful butt whenever I bend down toe tie my shoes. Do you want to take that away from all the fine ladies out there?

So, how much more efficient is hemp than tree farms, for paper production?

In a ten year period up to 100% more fiber can be got by hemp. Of course in ten years trees dont grow very high. An old growth tree used for fiber ( not lumber) will take about 30 years before harvest. That would put it about 300% more fiber per hectar. This is dependand on where the hemp is grown, what hieght it is grown to and how dence it is planted.

Marijuana has two strains. One is sativa the other indica. Industrial hemp not getting you high is not realy true. The word sensimila (SP?) means without seed. A hemp plant that does not get pollinated will have higher levels of tricanaboids (small resin glands (the part that gets you high) on the colla (the dence "bud" part on the top of the plant) then one that has. It will also have a smaller colla. The "hairs" or pistals of a female hemp plant work in conjuntion with the resin glands to gather pollen. If no pollen is gathered the plant will keep making hairs and resin gland producing leaves. In the wild or on an industial farm cross pollination will happen in wide scale naturaly by the wind, birds, bees and other insect activity thus makeing a weak in THC plant.

That ends todays lesson of "Marijauna the wounder plant".

What abut shoes or shirts? How difficult is it to find a shirt?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=hemp+shirts
http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv1-&p=hemp+shoes

I have three hemp t-shirts myself and a hemp hoodie sweatshirt that ran me only $29. I also have some very comfortable hemp moccasins that I wear everyday.

The only "use" I see for hemp products is an exc-use to smoke pot.
You can't get high off of hemp. ;)

If you want to do a lot of bending and displaying your butt to ladies (and checking their fine, firm, fit ones out as well) you would do better to take yoga. With all the time you save not having to lace up you'll have time for a lesson a week. ;) The female to male ratio at most yoga classes is usually pretty high.

I have a feeling that some countries have outlawed hemp production, simply because it is related to marijuana....

I wouldn't be supprised if it's the other way 'round, marijuana was probably deemed bad because of the threat hemp posed to the cotton industry.

Interesting theory. There may be some truth to that. Certainly the majority of people (based on this scientific study) agree that alcohol is a more damaging drug than marijunia and yet alcohol is legal and pot is not. Must be a financial interest in there somewhere. Perhaps you've found it.

It's sad that most Americans don't even realize there is a difference between marijuana and industrial hemp. Supposedly the original constitution was originally on hemp paper.
