hi, in my game i had -27 happiness for like 6 turns and rebels (barbarian lancers and anti-tank guns) started to appear near my capital. they found the time to destroy my sheep farms. i think they shouldn't act like barbarians. they are unhappy with my rule so their goal should be to take control of my capital and my presidential palace not to mess around with the animals. lol

it actually kind of makes sense. when people are pissed enough to riot, they usually destroy stuff in their own city, kind of like after that hockey game

They do it because it angers you! And there's nothing you can do to stop them from ceremoniously ripping up the fences from sheep and cattles as they cackle at your hammer production drop.

Viva La Freedom!

I think rebels should aim specificly for luxuries (to increase your troubles) and strategic resources (to make it harder to counter them) before actually taking cities.

It's an insurrection, so it makes complete sense for them to be destructive. It would be nice if there could be some differentiation between a 'civil war' type revolt and a general riot-like revolt, though.

burning ur own house down

with the lemons!

I haven't encountered Rebels so I don't know how the mechanic works but a suggestion I have would be that it locks some citizens in the Unemployed section, making them unable(in this case, unwilling) to work.

My favorite is when rebels leave my territory and start mass pillaging my neighbors.

the rebels wanting to raze your city makes sense as a game mechanic, even if it doesn't make sense in real life. they just want to make life as miserable as possible for you because you did the same thing to them.

rebels are real!!!!
I never encountered them before. Possibly because I usually try to make my citizens happy by building luxury resources and stuff.
