Why won't it let me choose install path?

I installed with disk, but it never asked me for an install path. I was forced to go with my c: drive, which doesn't have much space left after civ5. How do you force change this during install?

You have to install the Steam program where you want it to install the games as they need to be under it.

So, do I have to download all the game again after uninstalling it (+steam) and installing it at the right location? Or can I move the directory folders?

Just move the game folders and then install steam to the other place and just add the moved files under it and it should work.
