Will my computer run Spore? (System Requirements)

Thats because it isn't bloatware because your definition of bloatware is relative to what your computer can do. 6 GBs is nothing for my 1.2 TBs hard disk, 4 gbs of Ram, and 2.0 Ghz processor.

Harddrive capacity has nothing to do with RAM or processing power.

Your graphics card is probably bad and I bet your case doesn't cool air very well. Who knows, you probably use on-board sound, too. I bet your mouse and keyboard are still wired keyboard's and that you have a tiny screen - and only one at that. Your processor's cache sizes are probably really small and I bet your RAM has really bad latency.

in any case, im really excited by this game..
as always though guys, i suspect the real requirement is much higher, and a decent graphics card is very definitely a necessity, for that reason i wont purchase this game till i get a card upgrade..there's gonna be a lot of 3D shizniz in this game...
oh and daym, i remember 12 years ago buying a 2.5GB hard disk drive for about £200...how times change!

I have no doubts that even Spore 2 will run at full settings on my PC. It might have some trouble on my MacBook but probably won't be that bad.

Well to play devils advocate, you're looking at the same price, if not more, to upgrade a PC. I mean for me to upgrade my PC from an Athlon 3200+ with 1GB of RAM on a GeForce 6800GT to a Duo Core E6850 with 2GB of RAM on a GeForce 8800GTX cost me nearly $800.

That damn site is complete and total bull. It said I couldn't even run Empire at War, and lookee here, I'm running it at medium graphics with no noticeable lag! I'm running The Sims 2 on full graphics and it works like a dream, contrary to the sites opinion! Now, CIV, yeah that's a problem.

Well to play devils advocate, you're looking at the same price, if not more, to upgrade a PC. I mean for me to upgrade my PC from an Athlon 3200+ with 1GB of RAM on a GeForce 6800GT to a Duo Core E6850 with 2GB of RAM on a GeForce 8800GTX cost me nearly $800.

E6850 and 8800GTX are horribly overpriced anyway

So
getting- 2.2Ghz AMD 5000 with 2 GB ram.
I guess about time to replace my machine,which was (1.6 ghz, 356 ram AMD gfoirce 440 mx 8 agp)
$800 AUD to $900 AUD to be able to play spore!
will ASUS 8500 512 ram video card run it?
or better to get ASUS 9600 512 ram card?

Yes and yes. Both of them will run Spore, but the 9600 will give you much better performance than the 8500

On these requirements it doesn't say anything about an internet connection required although I thought it did need one. Well I only have dial-up and no dedicated phone line so I was wondering if I can still play this game.

I know that the data transfer will be small since it is not actually downloading the creature but the blueprints of the creature so will I be able to play this game with dial-up and not being on the internet while i play it?

I have 1.86 GHz, but the requirement is 2.0. I can play the demo creature creator fine that has the same requirement. Will I still be able to run the game or should I cancel my order for Spore?
