Will sorting unit mods by type come back?

I miss browsing just for air units, or sea units, for example, in the Civ 3 database. Is this feature gone for good? Do you guys have some quick access to metrics for the database such as most used words, or something of the sort that could help me narrow down my search for specific types of units without having to browse the entire subsection of modern, industrial, etc...?
