I was attacked by a stack of vulture from Gilg. I was ahead considerably in technology, and I had a stack of crossbow nearby.
I ran the autoload 3 times just to see if I was mistaken, but every time I saw the same thing.
What happened was - I brought my stack of crossbows right in front of the vulture stack, and then the stack of vultures disappeared the next turn. I have no idea why this could have happened. It was within my culture boundaries.
The only thing that I could think was that the AI decided that I was too powerful and just deleted the stack. In all of my years of playing Civ 4, I have never seen this happen.
Anyone have any ideas? Why would a stack just vanish? I am playing the updated version of Kmod.
