Will the conquests include new leaderheads?

It would be nice, but I highly doubt it. I imagine the Napoleonic Scenario will use flags.

Personally, I would prefer some nice static pictures to flags. The heralds were kind of cool in Civ2, also.

Oh, wow.
A Napoleonic Europe scenario without Napoleon

I hear you.

Now, if they had made the French leader Napoleon in the first place, things would be fine.

Yes: in every scenario some of the civs may re-use an already existing leaderhead (see Fall of Rome diary). But you can't replace Napoleon or Roosevelt with Joan of Arc or Lincoln

Off-topic - The other night I noticed that Caesar in Modern Times bears a striking resemblence to a young FDR.

first of all, napoleon should have been the leader of france in the original civ3. siecond of all, he definitely should be the leader of france form here on out. i cant imagine what the game makers were thinking when they made joan darc leader of france.

Maybe Louis XIV was an even better choice for the standard game, but I'd be very happy even with Napoleon (I would replace Joan)

But Louis XIV was SO ugly! :p

Hey!

Actually, I can't argue anyway

I dunno-I'd keep Nappy as a Great Leader and have Louis XIV in as the leader.

....most leaders are ugly anyway, what more can one do?

I wonder what Mesopotamia will use....

Existing leaderheads, I'm sure.

Alexander, Hannibal, Xerxes, Hammarubi, Cleopatra, Gilgamesh, and the Hittite guy ought to cover them fairly well.

They could probably also use Montezuma if they needed to.

Mursilis of the Hittites

I think that is all the civs too.
