Win 10 Easiest Way to install Civ4+BTS+BugMod

    Just upgraded from a 2011 Win7 laptop to a modern Win10 laptop. I'd like to install Civ4+BTS+the BugMod.

    I have all the original install discs, but before I start a Bronze Age war with Sitting Bull, I'm looking for recommendations on best way to proceed. I started to install from CD, but right out of the gate, the Civ4-Disc1 said I needed to install DirectX (I have 12.0 on my new laptop). Then I saw I'd have to download a bunch of patches (1.64, 1.71, bts3.19) off random websites.

    For $30 (which I don't mind paying), I can download from Steam - Does anyone know if this is fully patched? I've never used Steam before. Then, once downloaded, can I install the BugMod?

    Yes, the Steam version of Civ4 (the Complete Edition specifically) contains BtS, is fully patched to 3.19, is fully Windows 10 compatible and works with mods, including Bug.
