Win a copy of "Old World" - tell us about your favourite civ from "the old world" (contest is over)

May 10th! Im not sure of all the civs in old world, but the greeks are interesting to play as. THe birth place of democracy, a good fighting spirt, cool gods and Alexander the Greet (though technically macedonian) . It's fun to play as them in the roman world and try to maintain your independence from Ceasar and the lot. Egyptians too for the same reasons.

Some really great ideas for DLC nations. ;)

I have moved all the replies from the other threads here, and will now complete the thread with the responses from Twitter.
FYI: It might be that the winners will only be announced on Saturday, due to... timing issues.

"I'm obligated to go with rome here due to my last name, so yeah... Besides, the origin story of rome (Romulus and Remus) is amazing. Your city will always be cool, but it will never be as cool as "founded by people raised by wolves" cool.

"My favorite old world Civilization/Nation is the English for their trendsetting example of conquering the world, having access to all the spices the planet has to offer, only to export leaf water, beans on toast, and fried fish and potatoes."

"I love Persia, playing as the old enemies of Sparta gives me some great RP vibes and what ifs, like what if Persia conquered the world in Rome’s place? How would the world be now? What stays the same and what’s different?"
