Windows 11 and Civilization 3 Complete

Hello,

When I start a new game on civ 3 complete on my windows 11 laptop the loading bar freezes and I have to hit ctrl alt delete to end task. Please help somebody! I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT PLAYING CIV!

Just to be precise, the Civ3 application itself opens, but freezes on the loading bar after you select 'New Game' from the main menu, or does it freeze after the 'Player Setup' screen? Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall? There are issues associated with installing Civ3 in the 'program files' folder, so I like to install it directly to the hard drive.

Hey man thanks for the response. The loading bar freezes just before launch into the game. When the game is loading it stops at "configuring barbarians " like 15 percent. I have reinstalled it many times. The game is in Steam I'll try to figure out downloading it directly to my hard drive.
