Hi all,
Running Windows 8.1 (pre-installed on a new laptop). Trying to play Civ V Brave New World. Plays ok, even though I am a little below min. system reqs. However, it crashes out with a runtime error if I try and load a saved game.
I've had a look through the threads here and so far tried the following:
Created a new Windows user (with no special characters in name) to play it on. Didn't help.
Started Civ V up, started a new game (so the engine is initialised) then tried opening the save file. Didn't work.
BTW, if I try and save to Steam, it also crashes out with the same error.
My wife is playing this ok on a slightly lower spec laptop.
I am not a techie, so answers in plain English if possible.
