I orginally posted this in the general forum but did not get much response, so I thought I would post it here.
Hello, I am an old CIV 2 player and recently purchased CIV 4 gold and the BTS expansion and installed them.
I meet the recommended specs (256 vid card, etc), however periodically I get the message that windows (XP) has encounted an error and needs to close, effectively crashing the game back to desk top.
I turned the graphics down to low and this has caused the system to crash much less frequently however it still occasionally gives me this error.
I downloaded the 1.61 patch but it would not execute (I am assuming this is because all the fixes were on the expansions).
I have yet to download the new BTS patch but will tonight.
Anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem?
