"Also on some systems, the WinG files fail to decompress when
they are copied to the system folder."
I found this quote with a statement of the number of kb in the files when compressed and what they should be when decompressed. Some of my files did not decompress. It was made clear that this would be a problem. However, I wasn't told what to do to fix it.
I am using Civilization2 version 2.42 on Windows XP. My precipitating problem is when I start Civilization, I can't access the city view where one can change from producing warriors. I can't change to granary, city walls etc. The game can't be played with nothing but a parade of soldiers being produced.
Please, how can I remedy this problem?
